Intern - Machine Learning for Semiconductor Physics

Your responsibilities:
- Implement Machine Learning algorithms addressing physics simulation. Focus on the semiconductor area- Understand and shape informative data structures for the storage/processing of the semiconductor device structure- Develop ground-breaking algorithms in the realm of Machine Learning- Propose performance metrics and identify limitations of the models- Write reports and give presentations for internal audiences- Publish papers in top-tier venues- Write code to support research, usually in Python and/or C++- Work closely with a team of AI researchers and engineers in the US, Switzerland, and Japan on ambitious AI projects
You will have:
- Passion to develop cutting-edge AI technology and deploy it through a multi-stakeholder approach- 2 or more years of work experience after the degree are a plus- Background in Physics and/or Machine Learning (B.Sc., M.Sc., Ph.D.) and relevant work experience with a track record of developing working systems- Solid experience in Reinforcement Learning applied to physics simulation is a plus- Excellent publication track record in fields such as Machine Learning for physics, device and process simulation, etc. is a plus- Solid programming skills using Python, as well as frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow- Knowledge of semiconductor process/device simulation tools is a plus- Excellent oral and written English
