**Our Basel office** is located in the historic centre of Basel known as one of most buzzing tram hubs in the city. Our working space is minutes away from the SBB train station either on foot or by tram. One of special advantages of being in the old town is the mix of traditional architecture and modern amenities that are offered just beyond our doorstep. During lunch, take a stroll through the vibrant shopping district of Freie Strasse or for dog lovers, why not enjoy a walk and talk meeting in the beautiful Münsterplatz square with one of our team’s loveable dogs.

**The Role**

We are looking for great strategic thinkers to join our growing Basel-based team.
Focused on building long-lasting, trusted relationships, you will help clients navigate challenges and opportunities across internal communications and audience engagement.
You will be an integral part of the wider company, just as happy getting ‘stuck in’ as you are leading a team. Reporting to the Account Director, you will draw upon your people skills, communication expertise, and latest insights from industry and clients, to provide ongoing strategic direction to the business. Fascinated by human behavior and the value of effective communication, you’re happiest when helping connect the dots, suggesting ideas, and collaborating closely with peers and clients alike to deliver meaningful change for our clients.
**Your key responsibilities will be**:
- Representing Audience and our values with clients, partners, and at industry events
- Working with the Senior Account Manager / Account Director to gain an understanding of the Audience strategic plan, and as an Account Manager, how to contribute to support company growth
- Contributing to the account strategy and taking responsibility to ensure both account retention and growth
- Building solid relationships, mutual trust and respect with clients
- Building a deep understanding of clients, their organisation, internal audiences, and industry communication needs, challenges, and objectives
- Leading proposal development and contributing to RFPs when required
- Building and securing project scopes and appropriate project teams, with support from resourcing and production functions, based on knowledge of the client's requirements and Audience's expertise
- Utilising knowledge of client needs, challenges and objectives, and Audience's services to provide strategic insight and appropriate direction to the internal project team, to ensure projects deliver on the client brief and achieve their objectives to the highest quality
- Leading project teams, providing clear briefs, motivation, and focus. Using a hands-on management style, working closely with colleagues and partners to ensure they understand and proactively deliver on project briefs, that upholds the vitality of the agency/client relationship
- Ensuring projects are delivered within budget, acting as the day-to-day escalation point for queries. Managing client expectations and obtaining client approval if scopes evolve (up or down)
- Ensuring project learnings are captured and carried forward to future projects.
**Specific Skills required**
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Experience with Google Workspace
- Proficient in Microsoft 365
- Knowledge of CRM tools/platforms a plus
**About you **
- Excellent client management experience, confident in building relationships and pitching new ideas to senior stakeholders
- 4+ years of successful communications and event management experience, ideally in Healthcare (Pharma, Biotech, Diagnostics)
- 4+ years of business development experience, ideally with a focus on strategic communications and event planning
