Be ready to become responsible for strengthening Swiss Re’s agriculture leadership position in EMEA markets

**About the Role**

The position requires both client management and technical underwriting skills. Mainly you will:

- Originate and underwrite Agriculture treaty and facultative risks (crops, livestock, bloodstock, forestry, pets and aquaculture). Main tasks will require risk assessment of climate and agronomic perils and its accurate modelling and pricing.
- Develop client and broker relationships in your markets by providing high quality underwriting services and promoting creative solutions,
- Communicate enthusiastically, timely and with transparency with clients and brokers in order to set the foundation for a positive outcome,
- Continue to build SR´s market profile in the region.

**About the Team**

The Agriculture team is part of the Specialty Market Unit embedded in the P&C Reinsurance Business Units. Agriculture underwriters responsible for EMEA operate from Zurich (Switzerland).

We are a dynamic group of specialists, where you will benefit from profound experience. You will closely cooperate with cross functional teams composed by client managers, underwriters and solutions managers.

**About You**

We are looking for YOU - Self-motivated team-player, curious with excellent communication skills. You are recognized for being an excellent teammate, always happy to assist others, collaborating and fully transparent. You have commercial-mindset and strong customer interaction skills. You can handle complex and long negotiations. You are flexible and able to adapt to different environments and cultural diversity. Moreover you have:

- (Re)insurance knowledge, underwriting and data analysis skills.
- Good understanding of re-/insurance and agricultural production systems. University degree in life science or actuarial sciences is a clear benefit.
- Proficient in English. Excellent language skills in German or Italian are an advantage.
- Willing to travel.
