Ip Counsel

Optotune & NextLens is a strongly growing and internationally active optics company based in Dietikon, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial (Optotune) and consumer markets (NextLens).

Tasks
- Identify valuable IP and management of invention disclosures
- Support inventors to draft inventions disclosures
- Communicate between Inventors/Management/Outside counsel
- Draft opinions for search reports / office actions
- Update internal IP database
- Optimize patent portfolio in view of product landscape
- Manage surveillance of patent landscape (IP alerts)
- Draft third party opinions
- Perform prior art search/FTO search
- Support IP licensing negotiations, IP litigation and development of IP related strategies
- Co-Drive innovation processes

**Requirements**:

- Degree in engineering science (electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, physics) or related fields (preferably MSc/PhD), diploma as patent attorney is advantageous
- Quick understanding of technology matters, in particular mechanics and optics are of relevance
- Professional experience in patent law, preferably in the field of optics, optoelectronics or -mechanics
- Good communication skills in English, German preferred
- Ability to work freely and self-structured
- Ability to adapt to rapidly evolving tasks
