If you have strong commercial and analytical skills, if you love using data to drive your business and if you're good at working with colleagues across different departments to reach a common goal, you may be the new colleague we are looking for in the Product Marketing team at Sony, covering the Swiss and Austrian markets.
For the right person, the office location will be in Schlieren (Zürich). Monthly business travel to Austria will be expected.
Your role
Your role as a Product Manager is to manage the product lifecycle for your category, from pre-launch to end of life. This includes evaluating the market, budgeting, forecasting, pricing, promoting and ensuring profitability. The product category will be in Digital photography/videography.
Our strategy is pan-European and our role is to successfully execute it in our local markets. You will be working with colleagues in Sales, Consumer Marketing, Trade Marketing and the Product Marketing teams at our local and European headquarter to achieve our goals.
Your primary responsibilities
- Market forecasting and competitor analysis to understand the key drivers and growth factors
- Budgeting and forecasting sell-out, sell-in and inventory in the sales channel
- Analyzing, calculating and implementing pricing in our markets and the sales results, as well as proposing the right actions to take
- Owning the launch of new products to the market, including local messaging, retail distribution strategy, pricing, internal and external product training, PR, sales quantities, online and in-store presence
- Guiding a virtual team and a project to support the product launch
- Defining and implementing marketing activities to successfully achieve our business goals
- Supporting new business projects
**Profile**:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Economics, or similar
- Strong analytical skills and passion for working with lots of data to find the right facts, conclude, set up different options and take appropriate action
- Ideally, experience working in a similar role in either consumer electronics or another durable consumer goods industry (some sales experience will be a plus)
- A strong feeling of ownership, adaptability to the rapid dynamics in the market and creativity to find the right solution
- Conceptual understanding of the basic movement of goods and the factors which control them (Purchase, Sales and Inventory)
- Natural team player - somebody who creates a positive and efficient work environment to achieve common goals
- Strong presentation skills, regardless if you are presenting the consumer benefits of a great new product or your evaluation of the latest market and sales figures
- Determined, proactive and organized
- Strong skills in the Microsoft Office 365 environment
- Fluent in written and spoken German and English
