**Introduction**:
The University of Lausanne (UNIL) is a higher teaching and research institution composed of seven faculties. **Presentation**:
A PostDoc position to be conducted at the Department of Fundamental Neurosciences in Lausanne, Switzerland and funded by ERANET/FNS “Astrocytes dysfunctions in Phelan Mc Dermid syndrome: from mechanisms towards new therapeutic strategies”, is available in Paola Bezzi’s lab. You will develop a research project centered on the role of astrocytes in cortical circuit development using the transgenic mice models of neurodevelopmental disorders as a model system. The project will employ a combination of Cre-Lox recombination, FACS sorting, in-utero and ex-utero electroporation, transcriptome sequencing, electrophysiology in acute slices. Parts of the project will involve the study of behavioral and cognitive phenotypes of transgenic mice models.
