Sr, Director, Statistical Programming provides leadership in building, engaging, and growing the EU Statistical Programming team working closely with Stats Programming Leadership team, Boudry site leadership and UK Stats Programming Head. In addition to site leadership, the incumbent will lead the Cell Therapy Therapeutic Area for Statistical Programming, providing portfolio delivery leadership. Working with programming leads in Cell Therapy create and implement delivery strategies to enable seamless delivery of projects. The incumbent is a key decision maker for the Therapeutic Area and EU leadership related to both risk identification and effective mitigations for all Statistical Programming deliverables assigned. The position will be a key partner to the Stats Programming Leadership Team and TA Biostats Head to ensure successful implementation of Statistical Programming strategies and efficient execution of portfolio. This position includes functional management and is a leader of leaders. In this role, the incumbent, is accountable for managing employees: set objectives, manage performance, and provide meaningful coaching and feedback. They are also accountable for growth of Stats Programming in the EU.

**Key Responsibilities**

Project Responsibilities:

- Lead the EU strategy for Statistical Programming
- Lead functional partnership with Functional Service Provider, ensuring FSP vendor is supported and growing. Partner with Vendor management group to address concerns.
- Leads statistical programming activities across Therapeutic Area in partnership with the Biostatistics TA Head and related oversight activities ensuring quality and timeliness
- Leads the recruitment and retention strategies for Statistical Programming in collaboration with Statistical Programming LT, HR and Talent Acquisition teams.
- Leads statistical programming TA level strategies
- Sets tasks and prioritization across the TA and looks at opportunities to optimize delivery utilizing different methodologies
- Successfully engages cross functionally to progress tasks with proven influencing skills
- Leads process improvement initiatives, including identification of areas of improvement
- Existing influential internal and external presence on varied statistical programming topics
- Provides comprehensive programming leadership and support to _complex _clinical project teams and vendors, including deployment of programming strategies, standards, specifications and programmed analysis to comply with regulatory requirements, SOPs and work practices
- Provides guidance on developing and implementing innovative strategies and technologies for clinical trial programming at program level
- Member of Core Statistical Programming Leadership Team in sharing and building up the line function vision

**Skills, knowledge, and experience**

**Minimum Requirements**:

- MS with ~10+ years of industry related experience.
- BS with ~12+ years of industry related experience.
- Proven track record of leading business process transformations, building a new team and organizational culture change as well as driving programming expertise on programs with complex business deliverables
- Proven track record of attracting and retaining talent
- Operational experience in pharmaceutical drug development with significant direct exposure to clinical development
- Health care business acumen with a comprehensive understanding of the pharmaceutical industry
- Proficient knowledge of drug development process, clinical trial methodology, regulatory guidance, industry standards, statistical concepts, and medical terminology used in the analysis and submission of clinical data
