Associated with the University of Basel, Swiss TPH combines research, education and services at local, national and international levels. 950 people from 80 nations work at Swiss TPH focusing on infectious and non-communicable diseases, environment, society and health as well as health systems and interventions.

The Swiss Centre for International Health (SCIH) of Swiss TPH provides policy advice, project design and management in the area of national and global health with the aim to strengthen health systems and improve health service delivery. SCIH is currently looking for a **Public Health Expert and Team Leader based in Kosovo (100%)**.

The Integrated Health Services Project of the Swiss Agency for Development and Corporation (SDC), is a health reform project with the focus of improving hospital care for patients with chronic diseases with the current focus on diabetes and hypertension. The project started in 2022 and is designed as a long-term intervention, with the potential for further phases.

**Your position**

Within the project, your various and interesting responsibilities include:

- To ascertain financial management, administration and implementation responsibility for theachievement of project outcomes.
- To assure the leadership of the team that administers the Integrated Health Services Projectand to oversee the local project team of 7 employees.
- To provide technical expertise to national actors and affiliated institutions in the area ofsecondary health care reform, chronic disease management, integrated people centred care,continuous professional development, health education, community participation and healthpromotion.
- Regular financial and technical reporting to Swiss TPH, regular consultations with the localSDC team.
- To coordinate project related activities and closely liaise with other multi
- and bilateral agenciesas well as NGOs working in Kosovo's health sector.
- To communicate/liaise with other Swiss TPH projects and other SDC funded projects in theregion.

**Your profile**
- Formal qualification in medicine, health policy, hospital management, healthservice management, epidemiology or a health related field (at least Master degreelevel). A postgraduate training in public health or an MBA is an asset
- Minimum of 8 years working experience in the field of public health and health reformin Europe, ideally the (Western) Balkans and/or Eastern Europe.
- Long term management experience of large health sector support projects, including inadministering and overseeing the budget, ideally within a SDC project.
- Proven leadership experience of at least 5 years.
- Strong managerial skills, including result-oriented management, strategic planning,human resources and financial management skills; strong experience in steering andmentoring, capacity to anticipate issues and identify forward-looking solutions; stronginterpersonal, intercultural and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate with high level policy makers and international partners.
- Excellent command of English is a requirement. Albanian is an asset.
