**About the Role**
Do you want to play an active part in assessing and mitigating the key regulatory risks affecting Swiss Re? In Group Regulatory Risk Management, we handle all the interactions with FINMA, Swiss Re's Group supervisor on the one hand and assess Swiss and international regulatory developments affecting Swiss Re's business on the other hand. As Regulatory Risk Manager, you will support Swiss Re in assessing Swiss and international regulatory developments affecting Swiss Re's business.
In your role you will be assisting the team, with a focus on the relationship management with FINMA. You will also be required to connect with a number of key functions within Swiss Re including senior management. If required, you will support and/or represent Swiss Re's interests towards regulatory expert groups and industry associations.
**Your main tasks will include**:
- Support the Swiss Re team managing the FINMA relationship and assume responsibility for selected regulatory reporting to FINMA.
- Support the preparation of the FINMA Supervisory College meetings and all interactions with FINMA, including on-site inspections, senior level meetings, etc.
- Contribute and coordinate internal reports and presentation (e.g., Global Regulatory Risk Report, Group Risk Update, etc.)
- Manage the process for Group Regulatory Council meetings, chaired by the Group CRO
- Coordinate data calls, field testing, or consultations
- Preparation of briefing material and presentations, e.g. for members of Swiss Re's Executive Committee and/or Board of Directors
- Analyse new and revised regulations and standards and assess impact for Swiss Re, especially in the areas of prudential, sustainability and digitalisation and support the team in policy development.
- Participation in specific industry events and meetings (e.g., Swiss Insurance Association, IAIS, etc.), as required and appropriate
- Maintain close contact and cooperation with key internal stakeholder teams in the Business Units, Finance, Legal & Compliance, Risk Management and other internal parties
**About the Team**
At Swiss Re, Regulatory Risk Management is responsible for assessing and mitigating the risks of regulatory changes that might affect our interest across all businesses and regions (Americas, EMEA, Asia). We play an important role as an early warning and risk mitigation function. We also carefully handle relationships with supervisors and regulators. You would join the Group Regulatory Risk Management, responsible for group-wide and Swiss topics.
**About You**
- 2 to 3 years relevant work experience in the (re)insurance or financial services industry with touch points to insurance supervision law, regulatory/governmental affairs, Risk Management, or Treasury/ Capital Management
- Master's degree preferably in Law, Business Administration, Political Science, or similar
- Strong interpersonal skills with experience in dealing with external stakeholders
- Strong teammate and willingness to share knowledge and information
- Strong organizational and process management skills
- Excellent drafting skills and ability to summarize complex issues into concise memos/presentations
- Ability to present and communicate well both in German and English
