Protein Production Technician

BioTalent are partnered with an exciting and quickly growing biophysics and protein drug discovery company based in Ticino, Switzerland, to support the hire of a Protein Production Technician with experience in protein expression and purification.

**This role will offer you**:

- The chance to develop your expertise in protein production from both prokaryotic and eukaryotic cell lines, within an inclusive, flexible and friendly work environment.

**You will be responsible for**:

- Planning, executing and refining experiments across cell culture (Hek, CHO and E.Coli), cloning, protein expression, protein purification (primarily utilising AKTA).
- Reporting and presenting experimental data utilising electronic lab notebook systems.
- Working collaboratively with the team to define project objectives, deadlines and strategy.
- Supporting the establishment of and compliance with good laboratory practices.
- Optimising SOPs for the execution of protein production methodologies.
- Strongly supporting technical and general operations of the facility including organisation and maintenance of the facility, maintaining supplies and reagents, and troubleshooting experiments.

**You will bring the following**:

- Experience within a protein focussed industrial environment, utilising relevant techniques including cell culture, cloning and recombinant protein expression/purification
- Motivation to work in a versatile environment where oral and written communication is key
