**Key Responsibilities**:

- Combine chemical, analytical, and technical knowledge to discover new ingredients that bring health and/or taste benefits to food or cosmetic products.
- Develop and use innovative analytical techniques to improve the success rate in the discovery or manufacturing of new ingredients.
- Improve methodologies for the preparation of natural extracts, fractions, isolated and synthesized products for different biological screening assays.
- Bring the analysis of non-volatile products to a next level - improve the success rate of peak annotation in LC/MS.
- Understand the needs of research partners from other teams such as synthetic chemistry, biochemistry, life sciences and use appropriate analytical techniques to provide relevant results and solve difficult analytical challenges.
- Communicate the results to various audiences through meetings, scientific reports, presentations and publications.

**You Bring**:

- PhD or post-doctoral degree in analytical and/or organic chemistry. Advanced knowledge in both disciplines is required.
- A passion for molecular structures in relation to biological activity in the area of Taste, Nutrition, and Health.
- Sound knowledge in HPLC/MS and data processing tools for automated identification and quantification of compounds in complex samples, experience with vendors and/or open-source software solutions appreciated.
- Experience in related fields such as metabolomics, medicinal chemistry, biochemistry, natural products, or biological screening would be a plus.
- Willingness to work at the bench, but also bring new ideas and learn from experienced colleagues.
- Creativity and openness to solve complex analytical issues following a rigorous scientific approach, working in collaboration with experts from others analytical domains.
- Excellent team spirit, communication and organization skills and able to build strong network across the organization
- Fluency in English (C1) and French (C1)
