Job Description:
We are looking for a highly motivated Pilot Plant coordinator to manage the activities of our Pilot Plant in our global team at Manufacturing Technology & Science (MTS), in the manufacturing innovation and Pilot Plant group.

At MTS, we support manufacturing sites all over the world in verifying and continuously improving process and analytical technologies to ensure compliance and effective supply of products to our patients.

The Pilot Plant is a versatile pilot manufacturing entity, part of the MTS group, supporting the Ferring network manufacturing sites troubleshooting, processes optimization and solid clinical batches manufacturing.

Diverse technologies are available, from solid manufacturing (granulation, coating and tableting) to freeze drying and autoclaving process. The Pilot Plant is located in the Ferring Swiss Manufacturing Plant (FSMP) facilities, under the same GMP license.

Ferring+You

In this cross-functional global role, you will lead the Pilot Plant activities, governing the production, engineering and QA departments priorities and performance.

In collaboration with the Pilot Plant leadership team, you will play a key role in managing the activities of the Pilot Plant, timelines, budget, projects introduction, lifecycle and priorities. You will be acting of the manufacturing technologies standards keepers in line with driving the Pilot Plant strategy.

Acting as the coordinator of the Pilot Plant activities, timelines and budget, you will be reporting the department performance and escalations to the head of manufacturing innovation and Pilot Plant.

You will also interact with the Manufacturing Technology & Science (MTS) leadership team, the local sites FSMP MTS, and the local FSMP leadership team for ensuring the routine business continuity of the Pilot Plant.

In this role you will technically coordinate the activities of the different departments of the Pilot Plant structure.

Your day at Ferring

Responsibilities for the role includes:
- Coordinate Pilot Plant operations.- Ensure that production routines comply with appropriate current GMP, safety and budget standards- Govern the Pilot Plant performance and KPIs (incl. lead the morning and weekly team meeting)- Coordinate the Pilot Plant timelines, activities and priorities (incl. engineering, QA, production, qualification and calibration)- Act as internal project manager for strategic Pilot Plant projects, including project introduction, protocol, and reporting- Manage internal FSMP stakeholders- Act as the Pilot Plant owner in quality systems and documentation- Provide performance and escalation weekly reporting- Work in close collaboration with the different groups within MTS, GMN and local sites

Behind our innovation There’s you- Engineering or Scientific University Master’s degree in Natural Sciences, Pharmacy or equivalent experience acquired in job- Excellent communication skills and at ease in a multicultural and international environment- Proven working knowledge of manufacturing, GMP requirements- 5-10 years’ experience in solids manufacturing, other technologies is a plus.- Relevant experience in project management, team management or 6 Sigma.- Strategic thinking- Language: English (fluent, speaking & writing)- Ability to take the initiative and work independently while developing and maintaining effective communication with the stakeholders without formal authority- Good collaborator with excellent interpersonal communication skills- Knowledge related to 6 sigma, lean or production/ Pilot Plant management would be a major plus
