Piano Teacher

Collège du Léman is one of Switzerland’s most prestigious international day and boarding schools, located on the edge of Lake Geneva in view of the Swiss Alps. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

You will deliver individual or group piano classes to students aged from 7 to 18 years old within our Extracurricular department. The extracurricular classes take place from 4 p.m. The number of lessons per week depends on the demand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Tutor students from age 7 to 18, skills and musicianship on piano.
- Encourage and engage students in progressive practice habits, liaising with parents and/or boarding tutors.
- Teach all aspects of musicianship, including scales/arpeggios, aural, sight-reading, and repertoire.
- Take responsibility for teaching ABRSM piano practical exams.
- Accompany other instrumentalists in the Extracurricular programme, occasionally

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Advanced English and French required
- A bachelor's degree in music education or performance or a related field
- Experience working with youth and/or beginner musicians
- Excellent communication skills and enthusiasm
- Good interpersonal skills
