**This position reports to**:
Procurement Manager
**Your role and responsibilities**:
In this role, you will have the opportunity to gain vocational experience through a temporary work placement. Each day, you will acquire knowledge by performing tasks as directed. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting ABB’s operations and enhancing personal education/employment opportunities. The work model for the role is:onsite #LI-onsite In this role you will be supporting our Procurement team in Schaffhausen, by optimizing procurement processes, taking actively part in sourcing and benchmarking projects and analyzing market trends to foster a resilient supply chain. Duration: 6-12 months You will be mainly accountable for: Manage sub projects in sourcing and benchmarking activities Assist and support in process optimization Report on price development and market intelligence Master Data correction actions & document management External supplier correspondence KPI tracking and reporting Organize and prepare supplier visits and audits
**Qualifications for the role**:
- Current Bachelor or Master studies in economics, engineering, information systems or similar with first supply chain experience
- Advanced knowledge in German and English
- Strong communication skills; proactive, independent, and well-organized working behavior
- Curiosity and initiative
- Confidential handling of MS Excel
- SAP knowledge is a plus
