Within the Diagnostic division capital investment project engineering function, the two Heads of Engineering and Projects are together globally responsible for the expertise areas engineering and project management. Of these two, the Head of Engineering and Technology is responsible for engineering and technology expertise.

**_ The position_**:
We are now looking for the other Co-Lead. As the Global Head of Engineering and Projects Co-Lead, you will lead the Diagnostics project management and controls expertise areas, and the global process framework for capital investment projects. In addition, you will be responsible for the 3 regional project delivery chapters Americas, APAC and Rest of World. This includes the responsibility for the execution of all capital investment projects in the scope of these regional organizations.

Working with the Head of Global Capital Investment and Real Estate, you will be a member of various engineering-related teams and functions in the Roche sites network.

Your main responsibilities will be to take ownership and ensure the adoption and continuous improvement of the divisional project management (PM) and Project Controls (PC) processes. You will lead the regional engineering organizations in APAC, Americas and Rest of World with 20-30 employees worldwide and also a team of 5-10 domain experts to provide PM and PC expertise and resources across the division.

In addition, you will:

- Ensure the further development of the project initiation process
- Coordinate talent management including training, education and job rotations in project execution and technical fields across sites and affiliates
- Ensure Capital Engineering Project quality through an efficient and effective project review process
- Organize collaboration with external academic partners
- Represent the Diagnostics Division's PM and PC

**_ Who you are_**:
You have a profound passion for engineering & capital projects content and methodologies. You have a MSc or higher education in a scientific or technical field. You bring at least 15 years of experience in major capital investment projects, ideally both on the owner and contractor side. Your international experience covers different companies and cultures in the pharmaceutical, construction or (petro-) chemical industries.

In addition, you bring:

- Experience in leading leaders in a global matrix organization, and the ability to define and craft an organization independently
- Shown experience in handling a portfolio of projects, and full project management responsibility in at least one major (>CHF 50 Million) capital investment project
- Strong communication skills across all levels of the organization; excellent command of English is a must, and command of other languages is very welcome
- Ability to build lasting relationships, and you display an outstanding openness and understanding for other cultures
- Strong systematic thinking, a well-developed ability to self-reflect, and clear and transparent decision making
- Strong passion for continuous improvement

Up to 30% international travel is required.
