**Position**:
**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**

Manage all scouting/development/sourcing activities of FABRICS in order to ensure product alignment, quality, cost and development requested by Design team and Product Development teams.

**CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Look for new mill in order to have an appropriate vendor basis with company goal in terms of development, quality and cost/margin and allocation
- General knowledge of fabric and knit. Mainly developed in Far Eastern
- Develop fabrics proto in terms of quality and design, based on Designers’ mood boards and requests
- Finalize Fabric Specification Sheet and cost based on company target
- Maintain company system about fabrics
- Purchase Orders for SMS cut based on quantities and timing in agreement with company calendar
- Approve printing for SMS and Bulk productions
- Manage any quality issue for SMS and bulk productions
- Support quality control

**JOB FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Control, coordinate and approve all specs for yarn dyed, dyed fabrics and printed/jacquard fabrics
- Negotiate SMS and Bulk production costs
- Cross costing among all mills in order to meet company targets

**Requirements**:
**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Education preferably in têxtiles, clothing or business related disciplines or equivalent work experience
- Significant previous experience (minimum 3 - 5 years) in the same role and field (R&D in Fashion Companies)
- Good knowledge in fabric & apparel product development
- Strong technical understanding of fabrics/trims construction and up to date on seasonal fabrics/trims trends
- Critical Thinker, rigorous and well organized
- Self-motivated, focused on meeting deadlines and able to multitask within a fast-paced environment
- Strong management and problem-solving skills, in addition to excellent marketing sense
- Good judgment, proven responsibility and strong analytical skills.
- Capability to work under strict, short deadlines
- Working on cross-functional and multi-national teams
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both internal and external customers
- Fluent English (written and spoken). Any other language will be considered a plus
- Proficient with MS-Office programs
