We are looking for an Actuary (f/m/d) to join our rapidly growing actuarial team in Zurich.

**About the team**:
The Actuarial Function is part of the Insurance Finance division in wefox. Our team is composed of tech savvy and experienced actuaries and is responsible for reserving, solvency II and maintaining a fully automated in-house Python model. The Actuarial teams support wefox’s business planning, ORSA, IFRS17 and reinsurance activities.

wefox will adopt IFRS17 and you have an outstanding opportunity to take part in this and support our IFRS17 actuarial lead.

**In this role you will**:

- Support the actuarial function as we grow in size and complexity across countries and product lines
- Contribute to IFRS17 workstream
- Assess the profitability of our portfolio using modern tools and methods
- Improve and document methodological choices for key topics including: risk adjustment, discounting and reinsurance
- Maintain and add new features to the in-house actuarial Python tool
- Analyse the impact of the IFRS17 transition on the financials of wefox
- Integrate new products and markets
- Build and maintain visualisation dashboards
- Prepare presentations & reports explaining results to key stakeholders
- Being an agile team, you can also support in other activities within the actuarial function (e.g. reserving, business planning, ORSA, reinsurance, product launch)

**What you bring**:

- Fully (or nearly) qualified Actuary
- 5+ years of non-life experience including
- 2+ years in IFRS17
- Any knowledge of Solvency 2 is a plus
- You have started to develop your data science skills, for example:

- Julia, Python, R
- any of these are good
- we mostly use Python
- Visualization tools
- PowerBI or any other similar software
- Database structure and interaction
- SQL is your friend ;)
- Git
- Desire to work in an agile environment
- we organise ourselves with Jira
- Good communication skills and willingness to learn
- Fluency in English. Additional European languages are a plus
