Job Description_

**ILP Assistant Teachers **are integral members of the ILP team, working closely with the ILP Teachers to provide effective learning environments for students in 1-1 and in class support scenarios. We are looking for a highly motivated person to join our ILP Team based at the Secondary School campus in Adliswil.***

**Responsibilities**

- Supports the work of the ILP teachers in accordance with the ZIS curriculum, along with the ZIS Mission and Philosophy, Character Standards and Learning Principles
***:

- Assists the ILP teachers
***

***
- in planning and implementing daily lesson plans

***
- in documenting progress and daily observations of children as well as providing feedback** **on student work

***
- with classroom management aligned to the ILP classroom essential agreements - in class administrative tasks***

***:

- Supports the emotional, physical and social development of ILP students
***:

- Works with individual ILP students and small groups as needed
***:

- Initiates and actively nurtures positive relationships with all stakeholders and maintains regular communication with students, parents and faculty
***:

- Supervises ILP students during indoor and outdoor activities as needed including the lunchroom and arrival and dismissal routines
***:

- Develops, plans and prepares instructional aids/materials for ILP activities
***:

- Ensures that the appearance, cleanliness, and safe environment of the ILP classroom are appropriately maintained
***:

- Assists with the transition of ILP students
***:

- Undertakes any other professional duties assigned by the Principal or Assistant Principal such as recess duties and coverage when the ILP Teacher is absent
***:

- Attends and participates in faculty meetings, grade-level events and parent meetings as requested
***:

- Is actively engaged in professional development through the PGP process and other opportunities provided by the school
***

**Requirements**:

- BA / BSc or equivalent university degree
***:

- Ability to connect with and support students with diverse intensive learning needs
***:

- Ability to work as part of a team
***:

- A valid work permit for Switzerland
***

***
- A basic level of fluency in German would be an advantage.***
