**About the role**
- The Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning Expert facilitates important discussions at a global level on sustainability data collection processes and definitions, and support the reporting and learning on sustainability. By managing definitions, processes, data pipelines and learning initiatives, the monitoring, evaluation and learning expert will contribute directly to the Forever Chocolate ambitions: zero child labor, farmers out of poverty, being carbon and deforestation positive.**Key Responsibilities include**
- Align with stakeholders to define what sustainability data is required, how that data will be collected, what the definitions are, what the quality rules are, and how the data will be reported.
- Build and document data processing pipelines to do quality checks, consolidate and report on sustainability data
- Build and run learning initiatives and advanced analytics to better understand (the impact of) our sustainability programs
- Lead projects to implement or change processes and/or data elements
- Participate in sustainability projects for customers or other stakeholders, as an expert on the monitoring and evaluation deliverables.
- Participate in audits where 3rd party bodies verify and challenge our sustainability data, reporting and strategy

**About you**
- University level degree combined with minimum 3 years of working experience
- Fluency in English. French, Portuguese or other languages are an asset
- You combine technical skills (data processing and analysis) with strong functional skills (communication, project management)
- Experience with monitoring, evaluation and learning in an academic or NGO environment is a plus
- Technical experience with data lakes, data pipelines and advanced analytics is a plus
- Experience with sustainability work or smallholder agriculture is a plus
- Able to operate in ambiguous and multi-stakeholder environments and to perform under pressure
- Team player - willing to contribute to the bigger picture
- Genuinely interested - able to challenge assumptions
- Self-organized, calm, patient and persistent
