Logistics Operator

On behalf of our client, an international financial institution in Switzerland, Swisslinx is looking for a Logistics Operator. This is a multi-tasking role (80% admin - 20% physical work) onsite in their office in Basel. The initial contract for the role would be 12 moth with a highly likely extension. The ideal start date for the role is ASAP, but our client is willing to wait till mid Jan 2023.

A glimpse of the team:
The team consists of 4 individuals and the Logistics Supervisor reporting to the Head of Services. The Logistics team is responsible for Printing services, the Mail office as well as stock management for IT equipment and hardware and internal distribution.

Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Works under the guidance of the Logistics Supervisor and the Head of management - Services delivering the following duties:
Mail Office:

- Assist with parcel reception and sorting.
- Preparation and coordination of courier shipments including monitoring of delivery status.
- Responsible for timely internal collection and distribution of physical mail and newspapers.
- Performs administrative tasks related to mail and document handling services: invoicing, statistics, stationery orders etc.
- Deals promptly with all internal/external enquiries from customers and service providers related to mail office services.

Stock room management
- Assist with the delivery, distribution and management of IT hardware stock in coordination with the IT services team.
- Assist with quality checks and statistics of IT hardware inventory data.
- Coordination and contact with external suppliers related to IT hardware and equipment.

Printing Services
- Carry out printing of Bank documents, stationary products and business cards.
- Provide consultation to internal customers and business units on printing solutions and services.
- Manages stock and ordering of printing materials such as paper and cartridges.
- Coordinate regular maintenance and repairs of printing equipment.
- Proactively contributes to improving processes in place for the above operational services and duties

Your profile:

- Experience working in one or more of the three shifts (Logistics/stocking and warehousing; Mail office or Printing Service) - preference for Logistics service experience (e.g. customer facing supply chain role/Admin role working with shipping processes etc).
- Experience in on-site customer service role.
- Good written and oral English and German.
- Experience working with Print Shop services (e.g. Prisma Prepare) and Express courier shipping system (My DHL desirable).
