**Location**: Zurich, Switzerland
Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich is located in the heart of the old town, within the main business centre, close to the city’s leisure attractions and a short walk from the shores of Lake Zurich. Set to open end of 2023, Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich will feature 80 guestrooms and suites and three dining outlets, comprising an all-day dining venue, a speciality restaurant, and a lobby lounge. The property is ideally placed for meetings and gatherings, and the renovation will enhance conference and event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom.
As Cost Controller, you will be responsible for the following **duties**:
- Contributing to food & beverage profits by providing information on food costing and participating in the pricing of menu items as required
- Analysing food & beverage sales by comparing detailed food and beverage sales information. Computing daily cost percentage by Food & Beverage Department, and preparing various analytical reports as required
- Ensuring effective analysis of food costs by commenting on variances between potential and actual food costs, analysis recipes, yields and portioning of orders
- Contributing to inventory control by overseeing proper record-keeping of inventories on raw materials purchased, ensuring regular inventory-checking and assisting in the review and improvement on inventory control systems
- Ensuring overall efficiency of the section by providing supervision and reference to staff whenever required, and resolving effectively problems referred
- Comparing invoices, requisitions, sales & prepare reports showing cost vs. sales
- Pre-cost all restaurant and banquet menus of all purchases and prepared items
- Comparing menus vs. food cost vs. sales price
- Investigating and reporting any irregularities or excessive costs
- Preparing Monthly F&B Cost Control reports and analysing variances
- Highlighting slow-moving stock items
- Maintaining and updating cashier system
As Cost Controller, we **expect** from you:
- Experience within the hospitality industry
- very high sense of responsibility
- Knowledge and mastery of the main computer systems used in catering and Microsoft Office, in particular Excel
- Good presentation, communication and organizational skills, thoroughness
- Very good knowledge of German and English. Other foreign languages are an advantage
