The Global Communications Group is the central Forum team dedicated to communications with the public, media, stakeholders, and staff in relation to the Forum’s mission. Through multiple channels, the Group is responsible for communicating the work of the Forum and its constituents, reaching, growing, engaging and inspiring diverse and interested audiences.

Why we are recruiting

The Group is expanding and consolidating its strategy. It is composed of four key functions: Communication Strategy and Coordination, Public Engagement, Media Engagement, and Stakeholder and Staff Engagement.

It is searching for a creative and experienced ‘Video Producer’ to join the Public Engagement function’s Creative Content team and support our daily video production operation.

Reporting Lines & Interactions

The role will report to the Creative Lead Video and Design, Creative Content. Internally, it will liaise with key counterparts from the broader Global Communications Group team as well as other Forum institutional teams. The role will engage with external creative talent and freelancers when relevant as well as a wide range of Forum stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
- Support the daily production of high production value video, motion graphic and design content to deliver engaging storytelling for our members, partners & public audiences.
- Brief and collaborate with video editors, designers, sound engineers, writers and external production partners as required.
- Collaborate closely with different units of the Global Communications Group (GCG) (video, design, digital, live studio, live events & marketing) to deliver assets, campaigns and events.
- Manage internal and external production resources and deliverables (personnel, equipment, production schedules and publication deadlines) across multiple productions.
- Write, produce, shoot and edit short-form videos for web, social media and internal communication channels as required.
- Conduct in-depth editorial research and fact checking on a broad range of topics.
- Assist in the development and delivery of visual assets and branded media content, collaborating closely with the GCG’s media team.
- Support the Creative Content production and content capture activities both in-house and at live Forum events.
- Manage video content storage and archiving, including metadata and file transfers.
- Assist with setup of video, lighting, and audio equipment as required.
- Proven video production acumen and track record of effective problem solving in a wide range of video production scenarios.
- Aptitude for working independently, willingness to take on new challenges and exercise sound editorial judgement in a busy environment under tight deadlines.
- Understanding of online news cycles and social media audiences.
- Track record of conducting interviews with high-profile figures and personalities, shooting b-roll and event-based footage.
- Strong understanding of the Forum’s mission and impact.
- Representing the Forum in interactions with external constituents, as well as during institutional events

Required qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of experience in creating quality video content.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative and technical command of cameras, lenses, lighting, sound, and post-production processes.
- Excellent expertise in overseeing the entire production process of motion graphics animation, effectively leading and coordinating designers and animators.
- Solid video editing skills. Good working knowledge of editing tools like Adobe Premiere, After Effects & Photoshop.
- Experience creating and improving workflow processes.
- Availability for travel on Forum business.
- Proven skill in fostering team collaboration, leading cross-functional groups to achieve production objectives.
- Exceptional aesthetic sensibility and discerning eye for producing visually captivating content, grounded in an understanding of visual arts and design principles.
