MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

As an Art Teacher for our Extracurricular department, you will provide after-school lessons to our primary students enrolled in the Arts programme. You develop fun and interactive art activities where young artists will have the opportunity to learn the basics of perspective, composition, proportion and other technical concepts that will enhance their skills beyond their art class. They will experiment with different drawing and painting techniques, as well as folding, cutting and collage. The main objective of this activity is for students to learn to express their ideas through games, thematic situations, or individual projects. Extracurricular lessons take place from 4 p.m.

- Developing and planning fun activities related to visual arts
- Ensuring that our students have a positive and enjoyable experience in class while developing their skills
- Maintaining security and discipline as a top priority

SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

Required

Your degree in Arts, pedagogical skills, as well as commitment, enthusiasm, and integrity, will allow you to deliver high-level teaching lessons to students. You will act as an example and your human skills, responsiveness and flexibility will aid the dialogue with your hierarchy and colleagues.

Preferred
- Master’s in Education
- Experience in teaching in an International School
- French speaking

It is important that the post holder is always aware of Child Protection guidelines and observes a professional distance from students whilst still developing effective working and caring relationships.

You understand and embrace the importance of diversity and inclusion and stand against discrimination in any form. Background investigations and reference checks for the past ten years will be conducted during the selection process.
