**AIR AND OCEAN PROCUREMENT MANAGER EMEA**

The EMEA Air & Ocean Transportation Procurement Manager is part of the Global Logistics Procurement (GLP) group. The role will have a scope of regional responsibilities as the main point of contact for Air & Ocean procurement tasks and processes within the EMEA region including drayage and fuel assessments. The scope of business may also include some ground transportation, customs brokerage, 4PL control tower management, and overall contract management responsibility.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead the Procurement activities across the Transportation spend categories for the EMEA region including Ocean, Air, customs brokerage, and 4PL control tower management
- Implement joint collaborative initiatives with a focus on innovation, diversity, and sustainability
- Identify areas to initiate cost improvement projects. Lead and coordinate improvement/cost savings programs with strategic providers
- Collaborate across the different functional organizations (Operations, Quality, Finance) and Transportation Procurement in establishing high quality, setting common standards and using J&J’s logistics buying power
- High level performance of sourcing principles: negotiation, contracting, influencing, and cost efficiency
- Conduct research on transportation methods, rates, and routes
- Analyze, monitor and review markets trends and advise internal customers on mitigation actions to over potential problems or risks

**Position Requirements**:

- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required
- Minimum of 5+ years of related business experience, preferably in Procurement, Logistics, and/or any relevant supply chain functions
- Program / Project management experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities; formal presentation and facilitation skills
- Deep expertise across core transportation and procurement processes
- Strong presentation skills: can speak across various forums and communicate to broad, diverse audience
- Demonstrated ability to work across functional and geographic boundaries
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects, and daily planned and unplanned activities, while managing complexity and ambiguity

Qualifications

**Preferred Requirements/Competencies**:

- Proficiency with core Procurement skills (e.g., supplier management and performance, supply market analysis, category management, procurement excellence, etc.)
- Active project or program management certification
- Experience using PPM and PMO tools and methodologies
- Prior track record of negotiation experience with 3PL providers (including contract management)
- Strategic sourcing and influencing a wide array of senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated success in large scale Program/Project management. This includes establishment/management of Program Team structures, design and implement integrated project plans, resource plans and presentation to various leadership forums
