Head of Market Access, Health Economy and Pricing

The Head of Market Access, HEOR, and Pricing will lead the development of Market Access, Pricing, and Reimbursement strategies, and evidence generation policies based on outcomes research, for the entire company portfolio with the goal to maximize product value in Switzerland.
You will be in charge of developing market access strategies that align with our goals throughout the portfolio's development, launch, and life cycle management phases.
Main activities involve tailored access strategies, such as developing reimbursement dossiers, KVV Art 71 a-d strategies, value stories, and negotiations for local access. This requires close collaboration with all partners, including payers, HTA bodies, and other decision makers.
**The role responsibilities**:
- Identify and increase access to reimbursement channels for company products in Switzerland.
- Define payer evidence requirements and potential pricing models for the country, taking trade-offs into account.
- Manage and submit national pricing and reimbursement files (for hospital and retail markets) for all products, aligning them with clinical and economic company guidance to achieve agreed pricing, timely reimbursement, HTA positioning, and patient access targets. Help define national priorities.
- Manage regular national pricing reviews by the Federal Office of Public Health to maintain reimbursement for current products.
- Gather and validate insights on the current standard of care and epidemiology data, identifying data gaps before product launch. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prepare and submit pricing and reimbursement dossiers and customize health economic models (cost-effectiveness models).
- Oversee the process to secure access at the local/hospital level, using an understanding of the DRG process or other relevant methods to ensure hospital-level coverage.
- Establish relationships with pricing and reimbursement stakeholders, either through direct contact or third parties, to ensure patient access to our products.
- Lead the negotiation for achieving reimbursement and pricing outcomes together with the GM
- Collaborate with Medical, Regulatory, Marketing, and Business Operations teams to develop value propositions for company products.
**Experience**
- Bachelor's degree in business, health policy, health economics, life sciences, or a related healthcare discipline.
- Track record and a minimum of 5-8 years' experience in pharmaceutical industry market access functions in Switzerland.
- Profound knowledge of Swiss Price and Reimbursement legislation and the healthcare system, with a clear understanding of different access pathways in the retail and hospital markets.
- Demonstrated experience managing drug pricing, economic modeling, value propositions, reimbursement, and contracting strategies.
- Follow ethical practices and comply with regulatory, legal, and industry codes of conduct.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on oral and written presentation abilities.
- Fluency in German and English is required, while proficiency in French is a plus, but not mandatory.
