Laboratory Technician R&D Analytical Chemistry

**Work location**: Geneva headquarters, Switzerland

As a successful applicant, you will join our R&D Innovation in Analytical Chemistry department in Geneva. You will contribute to the analysis of natural products, from extraction and isolation to structural elucidation and chemical synthesis. You will also develop analytical methods for the characterization and quantification of various products related to the Flavor and Fragrance industry.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Prepare small quantities of pure compounds through extraction, isolation, or enzymatic/chemical synthesis.
Independently perform experiments, and deliver high quality reliable qualitative or quantitative results with emphasis on LC/MS
Support the lab head in the technical aspects of scientific projects, with the ability to take initiatives
Identify technical issues and actively propose solutions. Participate to the maintenance of the instruments
Report work progress in a laboratory notebook and during project review meetings
Manage lab supplies, raw materials and samples, and maintain a clean and well-organized workplace
Comply with HS&E procedures and proactively contribute to improvement of lab safety

**We value**:
CFC in Chemistry with emphasis on Analytical Chemistry
Strong expertise in separation techniques (liquid chromatography, HPLC and preferably LCMS)
Ability to conduct simple chemical syntheses is a must
Creativity, open-mindedness, team spirit and problem solver attitude
Proven versatility in the use of many analytical/isolation methods
Native French speaking with working knowledge of English preferred
