Haut-Lac International Bilingual School is seeking to appoint from August 2025 a dedicated, inspirational and enthusiastic fully qualified teacher with a passion for creative teaching to join this nurturing and innovative school.
The applicant should be an outstanding practitioner, who has the ability to work as part of a strong team to achieve high standards in a warm, caring and fun manner.
Applicants must be fluent English speaking, hold a relevant degree and teaching qualification and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of teaching in the EYFS/Key Stage 2 in schools that follow a British curriculum.
Due to the restrictions imposed in the Swiss immigration law, only applicants with a European Union passport may apply.
You must meet the following requirements for a visa or working permit:
- 3 years teaching experience.
- Bachelors with Teaching Qualification, M. Ed, PGCE or PGDE or similar teaching qualification.
- Proficient in French.
- Should hold a valid passport from either Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden or United Kingdom.

Haut-Lac International Bilingual School is a K-12 school nestled in the hills above Vevey (Switzerland) that boasts state-of-the-art campuses with breathtaking views of Lake Geneva and the Alps.
Haut-Lac is a unique school with a truly bilingual approach to education as well as learning pathways that are responsive to student progress and goals. It offers both Swiss and International students the choice between a variety of programmes such as “Learning means the World” in the infant and primary school, the prestigious IBDP, IBMYP and more recently the IBCP as well as a support programme to facilitate the return to public school in order to do a “maturity. The school also has the capacity to provide flexibility in the programme to promote elite student athletes.
Haut-Lac is a CIS accredited school.
The future of education is ever changing, and Haut-Lac is a school that prides itself on staying ahead of the trend and offering not only a quality education, but a lively school community atmosphere.
The Primary school campus and extensive whole-school sport facilities were completed in 2014. It is situated close to the secondary school in St-Légier, and comprises classrooms, specialist art and music rooms, a library, a uniform shop, a teaching kitchen and numerous offices. Modern facilities at the secondary campus include specialist IT rooms and Computer Aided Design (CAD) technology linked to a laser cutter and plastic former in the tech lab. Saint-Légier-La Chiésaz is located in the canton of Vaud, and has a total population of approximately 5,000.
