Your ‘day to day’
As a Manager Testing Method Development, you will lead PMI worldwide Testing Method Development (Chemical & Physical) by timely and effectively providing analytical methods to support the development and the commercialization of Reduced Risk Products (RRP). In addition, you will be the primary point of contact between projects teams and the testing labs of PMI to ensure the accurate method development request of the appropriate quality is carried out at the right time to allow project teams to deliver against plan.
More specifically, you will:
- Lead the team and set the direction to achieve the objectives and provide the deliverables to the organization and adherence of PMI products to predefined rules and regulations
- Develop a motivated, skilled and optimally resourced team to ensure a fast and high-quality service
- Lead the evolution of the development of testing method portfolio to characterize RRPs from innovation to commercialization leveraging on internal and external capabilities
- Drive the evolution of testing method development toward improvement and implementation of effective process and growing internal & external capabilities to ensure fit for purpose and scientifically robust portfolio of method
- Lead the development of partnerships with external labs to build External Testing Method Development capabilities
- Lead the involvement of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) on the analytical laboratories RRPs organization
Who we’re looking for:
- University Degree (Master or PhD) in Chemistry or Materials engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in leading people and specifically scientist or engineer.
- Proven experience in the area of chemical or physical methods' development with very good level of know-how in various technologies and methodologies.
- Proven experience in partnership with External Labs and/or CRO.
- Demonstrated and relevant experience in high priority setting couples with experience in PMO within R&D environment.
- Action oriented with the ability to deal with ambiguity, to resist to the pressure and to work with time constraints.
- Communicate sensitively and effectively both with various partners in a matrix organization and ability to foster a strong collaborative culture.
- Proficient in English (verbal and written). French would be an asset.
