**Job description**

The U.S. Group Glatfelter a leading innovator of Spunlace nonwoven fabrics and finished goods is looking for a dynamic, committed, and self-motivated Accountant to be based in Basel, Switzerland.

Being an Accountant in this international company will make you become a real actor within the Spunlace Segment of Glatfelter Group.

You will be enlisted into a human-sized department within an international structure. This will allow you to learn and operate as a full element within the team and enjoy the international aura of the Glatfelter Group.

**Your tasks/ responsibilities**:

- General Ledger Accounting
- Day to day bookkeeping in US GAAP under SAP and reconciliation
- Participate on the elaboration of the VAT report, tax reports, and local statutory accounts
- Intercompany reconciliation for the Spunlace Segment
- Management of bank accounts (reconciliation, etc.)
- Liaising with banks, auditors, and other partners in multiple countries
- Support Sales and Tolling reconciliation during an interim period
- Assist with monthly closing and reporting processes including preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of revenue accounts, and perform ad-hoc/special projects and analysis as required
- Become familiar with accounting policies to ensure compliance in a SOX environment.
- Daily set up and maintenance of vendor and customer master data in SAP, perform analysis for data accuracy and perform independently data clean-up activities (30% time allocated)

**Your profile**:

- At least a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance and economics
- From 3 to 5 years of experience
- Fluent in English (German, French and Spanish is a plus)
- Strong communication skills, eager to learn, excellent teamwork skills
- Strong organizational skills and quality oriented, good analytical skills and ability to build up own analysis of complex data in Excel
- Good command of SAP FI/CO, Microsoft office (Excel, Word)
- Good knowledge in Sales & Distribution/Material Management (SD/MM) is a plus
- Good knowledge and interest of Customer and Vendor Masterdata
- Availability: As soon as possible
