**Clinical Research Fellowship (100%)**:
The Oncology Institute of Southern Switzerland is one of the largest clinical research
- centres in Switzerland. Our three main areas of clinical research comprise prostate cancer, lymphoproliferative diseases (lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukaemia) and new drug development. Other important areas of development in clinical research include
- lung, breast, skin, gastrointestinal cancer and gynecological cancer.
- The IOSI has a dedicated clinical research unit where clinical trials, including early phase clinical trials, are conducted. We have an excellent history of collaborating with both non-for-profit academic organizations and the pharmaceutical industry. Of particular relevance are our collaborations with the Institute of Oncology Research (IOR), the Institute of Biochemical Research (IRB) and the Swiss Group for Clinical Cancer Research (SAKK). We have a central role in the Faculty of Biomedical Sciences of the Università della Svizzera Italiana (USI).
We are offering a Clinical Research fellowship program at the IOSI. This would mean working in a team with experience in conducting clinical trials. There will be also the possibility to collaborate in research projects and investigator-initiated studies. According to the area of interest, the fellowship is combined with activity in general medical oncology, focused on a specific disease area. During the fellowship program, there will be the possibility to participate in all educational activities performed in our institute and selected external events.

**A minimum commitment of one year is required, to allow you to complete the fellowship objectives.**

**Job Summary/Objectives**
- Develop clinical expertise in the management of patients enrolled in clinical trials, with a particular focus on early phase clinical trials in solid tumors and lymphoma
- Develop research projects
- Participation in study-specific safety calls in collaboration with the principal investigator and the clinical research team
- Attend internal meetings and educational activities
- Partecipate in multidisciplinary tumour boards, as molecular tumor board and disease specific tumor boards.
- Develop at least one specific research project
- Publish manuscripts in peer-reviewed journals

**Eligibility**
- A medicine degree
- Proficient in Italian for patients and clinics, minimum B2 level (if non-native Italian speaker)
- Proficient in English, as this is the primary language of research and related Communications
- Proof of concluded/in progress specialization (for post-specialisation fellowships)
