Purpose of the Job:
We are seeking a technically strong Financial Accountant (fluent in English & German) to join the Central Europe finance team to support a growing business. The successful applicant will be relied upon to maintain auditable financial accounting processes & procedures. In addition, the role will be focused upon the weekly payments, and maintaining the cash liquidity forecast of the business.

You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly according to business needs. With the support of your team, you’ll be expected to turnaround tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.

Key Areas of Responsibility (KARs):

- Prepare the weekly liquidity and forecast cash flow files and review the currency requirements based on business activity, analyse any variances to the previous forecast.
- Weekly payment selection files, liaising with the finance shared service department and local business, managing the end-to-end payment process. Resolution of any supplier payment issues.
- Play a supportive role in month end duties: submission of journal entries in Oracle and FCCS, cash management, review of contract summaries, coordination with regional units to reconcile inter-company transactions, preparation of continuity schedules and enrichment forms.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management reports including but not limited to aged debtors, aged creditors, accrual reporting, cash reporting, P&L and balance sheet analysis.
- Legal entity review of the P&L and Balance Sheet controls submitted by other Hubs.
- Responsible for preparation of monthly reconciliations for key control accounts in Blackline.
- Support in the preparation of Swiss and German VAT and other Tax returns.
- Contribute to the legal statutory reporting of the Swiss and German entities.
- Play a supporting role in internal audit and reporting requirements for the business.
- Ensure the upkeep of financial accounting procedures, internal controls and the authorisation process for all accounting activities, ensuring compliance with company procedures.
- Compile ad hoc analysis and other summaries to assist the management team in the efficient day to day running of the business.
- Monitor the rollover FX hedging requirements and support in the quarterly hedge effectiveness test, plus ad-hoc treasury/ banking responsibilities.
- Ad-hoc finance administrative requirements, including setup of new project codes, support in timesheet submissions, level of authority updates in the system.

Experience Required:

- Experience in a multi-location and highly distributed business model, “_think Global, act Local_”
- Experience working with Oracle is a preferred but not essential
- Advanced user of MS Office
- Advanced Excel skills

**Education**:

- Graduate level in a finance related field is preferable
