**Lecturer at the Department of Informatics**
**100 % **:The Department of Informatics at the University of Zurich offers excellent teaching in five main areas: Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Systems, People-Oriented Computing and Software Systems. We are looking for one motivated colleague to strengthen our teaching team.
**Your responsibilities**: With your involvement as lecturer, you teach eight contact hours per week. This includes:
- Two first year BSc courses that will cover mathematics needed for computer science. We currently envision the following content:
- One MSc course on fundamentals of people-oriented computing.
Furthermore, you can support professors in supervising student theses and projects. This offers the opportunity of combining teaching and research.
**Your profile**:
- You have a doctorate in computer science, mathematics or a closely related field.
- You have teaching experience in areas mentioned under job description.
- You can get students excited about the courses you teach.
- You manage didactic challenges and look for innovative solutions for teaching large classes.
- You communicate very well in English. You are expected to teach in English. Knowledge of German is a plus.
