Head Concierge

The Head Concierge is responsible for providing personalised and high-end services to guests, while maintaining a level of service that complies with the 5-star standards of our company, Red Carnation Hotels, Forbes 5* standards and guest expectations.

Main duties:

- Ensuring a smooth running of concierge service and working with the reception department to ensure every guest receive a warm and personalised welcome
- Keeping abreast of local life and answering all our customers' queries and requests
- Organising and managing an ideal handling of our customers' luggage, personal effects and vehicles
- Ensuring the safety of our customers and their personal belongings at all times
- Ensuring the cleanliness of our reception areas
- Planning and monitoring the concierge department's timetables
- Leading and communicating with the department on a daily basis thanks to daily and quarterly meetings
- Ensuring that night replacements are properly planned, when necessary, in the absence of the Night Auditor
- Providing Duty Manager services when necessary (week-end)
- Maintaining excellent working relations with all the hotel's departments.

Prerequisites:

- Graduate of a hotel management school or hotel management training course
- At least 5 years' experience in a hotel of the same category in a similar position
- Fluent in French and in English, oral and written expression. Mastering a third foreign language is highly desirable
- Advanced administrative, accounting and IT skills
- Courteous, discreet, available and with good sales skills
- Dynamic, customer service-oriented and comfortable with human contact.
