**Your role**
- Are you passionate about operational risk and keen to understand how the IB and particularly the IB Global Markets Distribution manages it? Would you enjoy working in a dynamic environment and taking ownership for your own task portfolio with stringent deadlines?
- We are looking for someone like that who can support the IB BRM team in its operational risk management activities, specifically to:
- perform Key Procedural Controls and oversee, and monitor the delivery of the front to back control environment by driving best practice for controls design and operating effectiveness
- prepare concise, transparent, and meaningful risk reporting to management
- assist with new business initiatives, regulatory investigations, or any sort of ad-hoc requests
- understand and monitor the operational risk portfolio of the IB GMWM teams and advise and support the business on its sustainable and timely remediation activities
- collaborate with the global IB BRM team to help on various day-today tasks

**Your team**
- You’ll be working in the IB Business Risk Management team in Opfikon near Zurich. We are part of the IB's first line of defense primarily supporting the UBS Execution Hub and GMWM within Global Markets in managing its operational risks. The team is responsible for embedding and maintaining an operational risk framework to manage the IB Front Office risk environment and deliver related operational risk management change projects. The ORF2 provides an integrated approach to managing and operating our business, assists in understanding the cause and effect of operational risks and allows us to consistently assess and manage all areas of risk, identify and prioritize gaps, and provide a basis for evidencing effective and compliant principles and practices. You'll also collaborate with global colleagues both within IB BRM, COO and the Business to ensure that best practices are being shared around the region/globe.

**Your expertise**
- You need have completed at least four semesters of your bachelor’s degree or have obtained your master's degree within the last 6 months.
- In particular, you have:
- a flexible, open-minded and cooperative personality (you’re a people person)
- an interest in financial markets, numbers, models and products
- an interest in working in a fast-paced international environment as part of a team
- sharp analytical and problem solving skills
- good communication skills, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels
- an autonomous, diligent and detail-oriented work style
- good judgment when dealing with sensitive information
- extensive past experience with MS Office (good command of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- excellent English (written and oral)
- Start date: April/May 2023
