Trade Manager Beverage Exports

The Role
Reporting to the Team Lead, Food and Fibre, the Trade Manager, Beverage Exports leads and implements trade promotion and facilitation activities on behalf of the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR).
The position connects export-ready Victorian beverage businesses with opportunities through Victoria's international trade and investment network and global programs (inbound and outbound) in priority and emerging markets to deliver tangible economic outcomes.
The position has the following key accountabilities but not limited to:

- Design, manage and evaluate multi-disciplinary projects with Global Victoria's principles, objectives and strategies in line with Departmental budgetary and reporting requirements to meet performance targets. Lead on best practice project management in delivery of trade activity with attention to detail.
- Proactively engage with key state and national associations, and Victoria businesses regularly, to create tangible global connections and identify sub-sector needs, opportunities and challenges to make informed strategic decisions on innovative trade facilitation and promotional programs that result in a strong return on investment.
- Ensure trade programs activities and funding obligations are successfully met by diligently tracking contractual milestones and payments.
- Develop timely and accurate reporting and briefs on highly complex issues, projects, and opportunities for discussion and consideration of Ministers and senior executives.
- Model positive, collaborative, transparent and supportive leadership across the Group and provide oversight and support for team members as required. Collaborate with other teams in Global Victoria, the Department and other agencies to deliver Global Victoria trade objectives

The Team
The position of Trade Manager, Beverage Exports forms a part of the Trade branch in the Global Victoria group.
Invest Victoria is the Victorian Government's key economic development agency which is responsible for: setting investment strategy for the State and guiding its implementation; attracting and leading foreign direct investment opportunities; leading investment opportunities of state significance; providing information, support and facilitation services for investors; leveraging additional economic development benefits and investment outcomes from a range of government activities such as procurement; enhancing whole-of-government mechanisms (such as facilitation services and financial incentives); identifying and advising on areas to improve business investment environment; and managing and coordinating the State's investment pipeline.
