Media Lawyer

Our Client is an international trading company with over 20 years experience in ferroalloys products, with a presence in multiple locations in Europe, Asia and the US. We are looking for a new Legal Counsel (M/F) focused on management of legal affairs related to mass media.

**Skills required**:

- Native or fluent English, good command of Italian
- Bar admitted in Switzerland
- At least 5 years’ experience working in a similar role and drafting of documents in English
- Ability to assume complex tasks, create and present a plan of action, and independently obtain a favourable resolution or conclusion
- Ability to maintain high level of integrity of confidential and sensitive information and credibility within the company
- Strong organizational skills in order to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously; willingness to assume heavy workload to meet timing
- Ability and comfort with decision-making responsibilities, must demonstrate maturity and initiatives
- Team oriented and hands on work orientation
- Attention to details
- Proficient with MS Office

**Key tasks and responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, your main duties shall be the following:

- Providing legal clearance and compliance advice on all types of editorial content (printed, digital, audio
- and audio-visual)
- Analysis and approving what can be published and broadcast. Some of the elements that media law includes are censorship and the tort of defamation, as well as privacy. This area of law also relates to intellectual property law (i.e. issues such as copyright and ownership).
