An experienced Art Dealer is sought by a Swiss visual artist with decades of experience, currently residing in Basel, Switzerland, with a studio in Northern Italy. The core responsibilities of this role involve strategically developing the artist's career, identifying opportunities for growth, and driving sales of their artwork. The position allows for remote work, with occasional in-person commitments, mostly in Switzerland and other neighboring countries.

We will only consider established art dealers with several years of experience.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Career Development**:

- Devise and implement strategies to enhance the artist's career trajectory.
- Identify and pursue opportunities for exhibitions, gallery representation, and collaborations.
- **Sales Generation**:

- Develop and execute art sales strategies to drive the sale of the artist's artwork.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential buyers, collectors, and art enthusiasts.
- Set quarterly sales goals and implement creative solution to boost sales.
- Conduct client viewings in places to be determined
- **Networking**:

- Establish connections with galleries, museums, and industry professionals.
- Attend relevant events to network on behalf of the artist.
- **Admin + Post-Sales**
- Overseen the post sales process, from issue invoices to coordinating with shippers and clients, until the work is in the client’s home.
- Simple accounting for the artist

**Qualifications and Requirements**:
Proven experience in art sales, artist's management, or a similar role, preferably with established artists.

Strong network within the art industry, particularly in the German-speaking and international contemporary art scenes.

Demonstrated ability to drive sales and secure opportunities for artists.

Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Proficient in using art management software and tools is a plus.

Proactive and initiative-driven mindset.

**Language Skills**:
Fluency in German and English is essential.

Any proficiency in Italian is a significant advantage.
