Preschool Teacher

**We are looking for a new Preschool teacher from August 2024**

**General duties would include**:

- Deliver a creative and educational program suitable for preschool children who are between 2 and 4 years old.
- Make use of a variety of educational techniques e.g. storytelling, educational play, craft, fine and gross motor activities to teach and engage with the children.
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities eg. to identify shapes, numbers and colours etc..
- Encourage children to interact with each other, learn to share and to resolve conflicts.
- Help children improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
- Supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times and to practice sound hygiene practices.
- Observe and evaluate the children’s progress and report their progress to parents.
- Work as part of an international team and ensure good and open communication with the rest of the staff.

**Qualifications**
- a native speaker of English
- friendly, caring, patient and flexible
- a qualified preschool or primary school teacher / have relevant child-development qualification
- experienced working with non-native English speaking children or have relevant qualification (desirable)

**Working hours**

The position available is for:

- two afternoons per week - Monday and Tuesday
- one morning per week - Wednesday

Our Preschool is open in the mornings from 8:45-11:45 and on two afternoons per week from 14:00-17:00.

**Who we are**

The WAC & Learning Tree School, established in 1997, is a not-for-profit club in Uster designed to provide a location for an international membership to socialize, learn and support one another in an English-speaking environment. We offer fun events and activities, a library full of English books and an excellent English school for children aged 2-14 years old.
