Tasks

As a designer, you will have a key role in shaping how Morgen will look and feel in the hands of our users, as well as how the Morgen brand will be perceived by prospective customers, partners and investors. We strongly believe that software should look awesome and be fun to use, even (and especially) when it is critical for work. We have no end of fascinating challenges that can only be solved by someone with innate product & UX sense, technical aptitude, great taste, and impeccable craft. At the same time, we need your help to market our product to the world. In this role, we're looking for someone who can think this way about the Morgen brand itself. Someone who wants to help us explore new and different ways to bring a brand to life, whether that's through visuals, writing, environments, or something we have yet to think of.

**Requirements**:
**What You'll Need to Bring**:

- You have well-rounded skills and experience to run projects independently or a strong portfolio of previous works to showcase.
- You have a critical mind and an obsessive eye for detail.
- You can create clear, intuitive, and visually appealing human interfaces (UI).
- You can untangle vague conceptual problems, and have a sharp intuition for the most accessible mental models and flows, so users can immediately start gaining value out of the product (UX).
- You care about the business needs, implications, and practicality of your designs. You don't get stuck on pretty UI or deep abstractions and can balance between craft, speed, and the bottom line.
- You have strong beliefs, loosely held. You're a good listener who collaborates well with different stakeholders. You observe and internalize all inputs and feedback to help you reach an optimal decision.
- You like to tell stories using both words and visuals and strategize the best way to make your point.
- You master tools such as Figma, Sketch, Framer, or similar.

**Nice to Haves**:

- You've designed and built great tools with small teams in the past.
- You can do basic coding in HTML + CSS + Javascript. Even better if you're capable of building working React components or prototypes with tools like Framer.
- Practical experience with any of the following is a plus: animation, motion graphics, illustration, copywriting, social media assets design.
- Experience creating (or working with) brand style guides and standards.
- You like to talk about a variety of topics besides work-related ones.
