Global Manufacturing Leader, Delrin F/m/d

The **Gobal Manufacturing Leader f/m/d for Delrin®** is an exciting leadership opportunity to take responsibility for and deliver operating performace across the entire manufacturing operations for the business.
Delrin‘s® manufacturing operations include polymer manufacturing facilities in the Netherlands and West Virginia consisiting of approximately ~400 resources, compounding operations across the globe and some select contract manufacturers.
The role will be **based in Meyrin (Geneva), Switzerland**.It will report to the General Manager for the business and will be a key member of the Delrin® leadership team.

Delrin® is a premium business within DuPont. The business has best-in-class profit margins because of its underlying differentiation and growth dynamics, due in part to a priorietary and unique production process. This is an exciting opportunity to join this business and lead the global manufacturing function into the future. We are seeking a hands-on leader who can do both - look strategically and objectively at our operations to develop long term plans, while also taking charge of the operational improvements that expand capacity, reduce costs and deliver growth to the business by meeting our customers‘ needs and supporting growth initiatives for the future.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Strategy**
- As a member of the Delrin® Global Leadership Team, this role is expected to passionately promote DuPont‘s Core Values: Safety & Health, Respect for People, Highest Ethical Behavior, and Protecting the Planet
- Provide strategic direction for all aspects of Delrin’s® manufacturing operations globally
- Establish, implement and communicate the strategic direction of the manufacturing and operations functions, including setting tangible targets for such initiatives.
**Leadership**
- Lead a team of ~5 direct reports and a Manufacturing organizaton of approximately 400 resources globally
- Set expectations that establish a strong safety, quality and reliability culture for Delrin’s manufacturing operations
- Maintain oversight and responsibility for global contract manufacturing network, to ensure contractor partners are meeting contractual agreements in line with business requirements
- Collaborate with other global functional leaders as well as with peers in other DuPont businesses
- Lead Dordrecht and Washington Works site leadership to effectively meet production and operations goals
- Lead people development and succession planning processes
- Foster an empowered organization to drive self-reliance and leadership growth
- Create an environment of employee engagement, trust and accountability
- Show appreciation for employees and maintain a servant leadership mindset

- Accountable for meeting all KPIs globally related to core values, quality, cost, productivity, supply, reliability and innovation
- Track record of rolling out continuous improvements efforts and delivering tangible improvements to critical operational metrics.
- Track record of identifying and delivering on annual productivity improvements.
- Support plants on implementation and ongoing effectiveness of global work processes, operating discipline, management systems, enabling technologies, and roles to become a Highly Reliable Organization.
- Oversee the full life cycle of reliability, from issue resolution, to root cause analysis and execution of engineering/manufacturing change.
- Challenge the status quo as well as paradigms and lead the team in continuous improvement.
- Implement lean processes and tools, including things like visual management and daily management across all reporting functions while driving a culture of continuous improvement to drive to root causes and stimulate new and improved processes to better all aspects of Operations.
- Actively participate in cross-functional activities that drive business results, including Sales and Operations Planning, Engineering Science project & activity reviews, Corporate Audits, etc.
- Create and monitor plant-level DIBM/S&OP metrics identifying plant operations breakthroughs, implementing change through the use of comprehensive action plans and aligning resources to achieve targeted KPIs across the operations including for Safety, On-Time Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity (Labor and Material)
- Collaborate with the senior leadership to develop and meet company financial goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
- Engage in prioritization and efficient implementation of capital projects across all manufacturing sites.
**Financial Oversight**
- Creating, managing and planning for fixed costs.
- Reducing operational variable costs through process improvements and efficiencies.
- Ensure Delrin® operations cost structure is competitive.
- Developing appropriate Capex (investment) projects, budgeting and overseeing the implementation of approved projects
