To strengthen our **Immunology department**, based in our manufacturing site in **Bulle**, **Switzerland**, we are looking for a talented individual to fill the position of**:Medical Science Liaison Rheumatology & Bone West-Switzerland.**
**As a Medical Science Liaison Rheumatology & Bone, you are the key scientific discussion partner that interacts with national and international Thought Leaders (KOLs), and other healthcare professionals (HCPs) at various phases of the product life cycle. Core content of these discussions will be topics of unmet medical needs which are of scientific / developmental importance to UCB in Rheumatology and Osteoporosis.**
The MSL Rheuma & Bone position is a field-based scientific expert within Rheumatology and Osteoporosis that works externally and internally, and closely with an integrated team across functions.
The MSL is involved in feasibility processes around new clinical studies and is the primary contact person for investigators interested in investigator-initiated research, donations, grants and is responsible for developing and executing the medical content of the local ecosystem plan.

**You will be responsible for**:
- The agile and proactive identification and management of key scientific and medical influencers based on local ecosystem dynamics.
- The exploration and identification of new sources of patient value (innovative solutions and services) to place the holistic disease burden of people suffering from chronic immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs) and osteoporosis high on the healthcare agenda.
- The design and execution of the local eco-system´s medical plan, including driving and managing medical projects.
- Establishing partnerships with KOLs, payers, patient organizations and patients to advance medical initiatives, in defined clinical practice areas, to drive optimal patient care.
- The management and generation of product/disease state data (Phase III/IV, IIS, audits, RWE etc.).
- Supporting the development of RWE in the local eco-system, leveraging the value to UCB solutions for patients to medical and payer communities and the presentation of RWE/HEOR/clinical information to regional payer accounts and formularies.
**Interested? For this position you’ll need the following** **education, experience, and skills**:
- Academic background within Natural/Life Sciences or Pharmacy, PhD in immunology is a big plus.
- Languages: French and English (both written and verbally).
- 1-3 years of previous MSL experience is advantageous. However, we will consider other backgrounds fitting the profile.
- Proven track-record having worked with biologics within immunology and preferred rheumatology.
- Launch experience would be of advantage.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills.
- Ability to clearly articulate complex scientific concepts in 1:1 and group settings.
- Ability to actively listen and process information to identify opportunities.
- Business acumen with a good understanding and holistic view on the healthcare ecosystem.
- Influencing skills, by building trust, staying consistent and being assertive in a considerate way.
- You are energetic and driven to push things forward.
- Networking: you can build strong relationships in a positive and focused way
- Likes to work in a team as well as independently.
