**Quality Excellence Manager (f/m/d), Bern, Switzerland**

The Quality Excellence Manager is a key member of the Site Quality Leadership Team (SQLT) with the following primary responsibilities.
- Operational excellence project management
- Quality innovation and groundbreaking projects
- Site Quality goal and metrics governance
- Budget and talent resource planning
- Strategic and long range planning (LRP)

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Strategic Quality Project Management
- Facilitate development of Site Quality strategies to ensure a harmonized and coordinated quality approach.
- Provide leadership across Site Quality to promote and drive critical thinking and innovative ways to change the business. This includes facilitating and mentoring in implementation of groundbreaking changes and improvement initiatives.
- Lead/Co-lead strategic projects with Quality and/or other site functions
- Goal Governance & Budget Planning
- Lead strategic deployment and quality goal setting. Cascade from global Quality to Site Quality and work with Site departments.
- Lead Quality goals monitoring, tracking and intervention.
- Provide oversight and governance for budget planning in partnership with Site Finance, through monitoring, tracking, data stewardship and reporting for Site Quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and share standard methodology.
- Lead/Mentor quality personnel in projects.
- Lead Quality digital projects and collaborate with other vaccines sites
- Build network with other Janssen sites’ for standard methodology sharing.
- Lead Quality talent resource development programs
- Champion Quality Culture mentality and behaviours
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- Minimum university bachelor degree, preferably in pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, microbiology, biotechnology or related engineering/technical field.

Experience and Skills:
Required:

- demonstrated ability (at least 3 years of leadership experience, including strategic project management and leadership coordination of activities).
- Proven experience in a GMP regulated environment (e.g. FDA, EMA, ICH, PIC/S).
- Knowledge of and experience with developing culture & demeanor and project activities to continually improve compliance and operational efficiency
- Proven track record to inspire changes and support organizational change processes
- Proven strategic and business oriented thinking
- Demonstrated ability to drive innovation, continuous improvement and out-of-the-box thinking

Preferred:

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate ideas and data both verbally and in writing.
- Strong influencing and partner leadership skills
- Analytical and critical thinking skills
- Statistical knowledge and data analysis
- Scrum, 6sigma, agile certification is a plus

Other:

- Fluent in English is a must, proficiency in German is a plus.
