ABB Traction is a technology leader driving innovation in e-mobility and turning innovative projects into reality. We contribute to sustainable transportation and save energy every day. Our traction systems power electric buses as well as electrified heavy-duty vehicles, trains, locomotives, mountain railroads and many other types of rail vehicles around the globe. In our Traction and Battery Technology operations, we are looking for a Production and Operations Planning Coordinator with strong SAP skills focused on our battery factory in Baden, Switzerland. This is a new role reporting directly to the Head of the Battery Factory. In this role you will drive production efficiency by creating and maintaining detailed production schedules, executing daily, plant-level materials requirement planning to meet delivery schedules and ensure on time delivery to all customers.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Responsible for order processing of Energy Storage Systems (ESS) production including internal and external interfaces to the partners in the business area.
- Coordinate with production planning functions of the linked production departments in Switzerland and abroad
- Drive customer
- and cost-oriented practices in existing workflows and processes
- Manage escalations in case of material
- or resource-bottlenecks, delays and quality cases
- Further development of processes and tools within production planning (purchasing, production planning, warehouse disposition, inventory management, production development)
- Contribute to medium-term footprint and resource planning in order to accommodate the growing order pipeline
- Prepare and lead the yearly stocktaking
- Active in the SAP power-user organization
- Midterm development of an Operations Planning Team

**Your background**:

- Completed studies (TS, FH or Uni) in production planning, production technology, computer science, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering or comparable field of study.
- Relevant professional experience and knowledge in SCM, operations, production, production planning and scheduling. Experience in lean management is a plus
- Proficient in SAP (ERP) and MS Office, knowledge of production planning systems is a plus
- Quick learner in a complex environment. Highly customer and solution orientated
- Good communicator in the office and on the shop floor. Good command of German and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to work in a team, flexibility, leadership qualities
- Personal initiative, motivation, and pleasure in trying out new topics
