**About the Role**

We are offering an exciting opportunity to join the Business Development (BD) team for a period of 4-6 months to support us commercializing new transaction opportunities. If you are curious about corporate finance, the (re-)insurance business and want to work in cross-functional teams on cases across EMEA, we'd like to hear from you

Key responsibilities
- Support analyses of solvency and financial disclosures to connect findings with qualitative research to develop client specific insights and hypotheses
- Contribute to high quality analytics and capital simulations to demonstrate the value of reinsurance to our clients
- Work on client pitches with a focus on how reinsurance benefits financial metrics
- Collaborate with senior team members across BD EMEA on concrete client opportunities and market initiatives

In joining Business Development as an intern, you will gain an understanding of reinsurance and Swiss Re from a global perspective and across all lines of business. You will have the ability to work with Client Markets, Structured Solutions and Underwriting. The internship will be for **4-6 months on a 2-3 days per week basis**, allowing to work with us alongside your university studies, starting immediately.

**About the Team**

In Business Development (BD) we generate reinsurance transaction leads and build value propositions that attract our clients. We collaborate globally with locations in Asia, America and Europe, and we are 100% client oriented. We comprise around 40 professionals with different cultural and educational backgrounds and have a strong commercial focus.

Together we engage on risk & capital management to craft transactions that make our clients more resilient. We co-develop impactful capital concepts and reinsurance structures. From Zurich, we serve markets in Europe, Middle East and Africa and work on European projects with colleagues in London. We are working in a good and concentrated atmosphere and at the same time have fun and care for each other. You will benefit from the deep experience of our team members, who will coach and train you.

**About You**
- University degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Economics, Business
- Strong interest for corporate finance topics
- You command excellent oral and written English skills; additional European language skills advantageous
- Creative and curious mind-set
- You have already shown your ability to work independently and feel comfortable in a demanding environment
- You are a team-player with an intercultural approach, and contribute actively to the overall team spirit
