Principal Architect

For our Global IT Team at the company headquarters in Cham, near Zurich, we are looking for a highly motivated **Principal Architect **(100%).

Landis+Gyr has embarked on a number of major initiatives to establish itself as a global software and services provider in the energy space including a mulit-year partnership with Google and a multi-year ERP and MES transformation. This Principle Architect will be directly involved in these major transformation initiatives, work internally to establish new/revised processes, evaluate current and future technology solutions, establish organization level architectures, and lead teams in the achievement of the transformation objectives. The Principle Architect is a global role and reports directly to the global head of Enterprise Architecture.

What will your day/week look like:

- Develop new organizational, process, and product architectures as required by the transformational initiative.
- Evaluate existing organizational, process, and product architectures identifying opportunities for improvement in the areas of people, process, and technology.
- Implement new and revised organizational, process, and product architectures including fulfilling the engineering activities as required.
- Present organization, process, and product architectures to the senior and executive management teams within Landis+Gyr.
- Advise and mentor other enterprise, cloud, product, and solution architects within the global Landis+Gyr organization including Global IT, Global Technology, and Enterprise Architecture.
- Lead the definition of standards, guidance, and points-of-view that enable the organization to thrive.
- Partner with parties inside and outside L+G to meet architectural objectives.
- Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required by the Enterprise Architect.
- Supports and adheres to Company’s Code of Conduct and Ethics Policy.
- Represents Company in a positive, professional manner when working with both internal and external customers.

What you should bring with you to be successful:

- You have at least 15 years of work experience
- You spent several years developing enterprise level architectures involving global organizations, processes, people, and technology
- You are a pro in engineering both on-premise and cloud solutions and architectures
- You are familiar with Enterprise level frameworks such as J2EE, Micro Services, Kubernetes, Containerization, etc.
- You are skilled with enterprise level CI/CD platforms including Git, Gitlab, Github, Microsoft ADO, Gerrit, and Jenkins
- You have previous experience in working with cloud computing platforms including AWS, Azure, and GCP
