Underwriting Assistant

**LGT ILS Partners (LGT ILS) based in Zurich and Pfaeffikon (SZ) is the insurance-linked investments boutique of LGT Capital Partners and a leading ILS Manager with over USD 5bn assets under management and a client base consisting primarily of institutional investors.**

The Underwriting Assistant is a member of the underwriting and analytics team of LGT ILS Partners (LGT ILS). The focus of the Underwriting Assistant is on supporting the underwriting team during the entire reinsurance transaction process - from the receipt of the submission file to the conclusion of individual transactions, including data management in LGT ILS’ proprietary portfolio repository system:

- Manage portfolio mailbox and submission data flow;
- Enter and maintain data in our proprietary portfolio management system and ensure completeness for month-end reporting deadlines;
- Support lifecycle management of transactions (manage contract endorsements, extensions, commutations, etc.);
- Respond to inquiries from counterparties, brokers and service providers; coordinate contract execution with brokers and insurance managers (signing, filing, etc.);
- Compile documentation for investment committee (underwriting) approval meetings; conduct preliminary deal analysis and compile company profiles on reinsurance counterparties;
- Project tasks (typically during summer/fall period): data quality control, profitability and market analyses, counterparty due diligence documentation, etc.

**Requirements**:

- Required: commercial experience (“Kaufmännische Berufsmittelschule KV/BMS”) in insurance / reinsurance, finance/accounting or banking;
- Desirable: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Economics or Finance; experience with insurance/reinsurance accounting systems;
- Experience in a similar position within the insurance / reinsurance industry;
- Experience with insurance / reinsurance accounting systems a clear advantage;
- Professional fluency in English; German is considered an advantage;
- Integrity, motivation, analytical thinking team player with distinct organizational skills and attention to detail.
