**YOUR CHALLENGE**:

- Team leader, responsible for the entire mortgage underwriting process for highly demanding traditional Private Banking clientele as well as BJB staff (real estate locations across all of Switzerland), consisting of:

- Detailed data analysis & validation of data input / documentation of mortgage requests
- Credit approval within assigned competencies
- Issuance of credit documentation
- Mortgage drawdown
- Management of entire mortgage lifecycle
- Ensure high level of data quality & integrity
- Sparring partner to:

- Head Credit Risk Mortgages Switzerland
- Non-traditional Private Banking offering & recovery mortgage team
- Mortgage governance, quality, control & projects team
- Client facing mortgage advisory teams on providing sophisticated real estate financing solutions
- Provide coaching & development to a team of 8-10 mortgage officers
- Close cooperation with / support on Mortgage workflow tool & process work, other Credit teams (Lombard, structured finance, Credit Risk Shared Services), Real Estate competence center: Kuoni, Mueller & Partner AG (a Julius Baer Group company) & other internal & external mortgage stakeholders (e.g. Finance, front office teams, notaries, lawyers)
- Lead, collaborate a/o provide support to:

- Ad-hoc risk analysis & reviews, mortgage credit risk policy changes / amendments
- Projects & initiatives within mortgages & Credit
- JB Academy / training & education to front-office staff
- Internal / external audits, regulatory supervisory reviews
- Develop & maintain a broad network in the real estate ecosystem to be close to market changes & events

**YOUR PROFILE**:

- Bachelor's degree or degree from a university or university of applied sciences (e.g. banking, finance, economics, law), or equivalent training or professional experience
- Min. 15 years of professional experience in the Swiss Mortgage business is mandatory (Credit Risk Management side preferred, min. 10 years thereof with credit approval authority)
- Proven leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate, develop and drive team members (min. 5 years of leadership / management experience in a comparable position)
- Strong interest & in-depth knowledge of the Swiss mortgage business as well as of the real estate industry and its recent market developments; ability to drive & implement market changes into daily business processes / procedures
- Strong analytical skills with a natural flair for financial & credit analysis with a customer-centric, solution-oriented mindset
- Very good knowledge of German and English (written and spoken), other languages (French & Italian) are a clear advantage
- Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills, open mindset, reliable, structured, efficient, innovative, and proven team player with strong negotiation skills
