Online Communications Intern

To complete our team, we are looking for an innovative, independent, creative and motivated intern to support our communications activities.

**Social Media and campaigns (50%)**:
Communicating in an understandable and appealing way about what we as well as our community members and network partners do is a crucial aspect of our work and often a challenge. Your tasks:

- Execute and evolve our social media strategy in alignment with the overall communication goals of collaboratio helvetica and grow our reach: generate, edit, publish and share engaging content regularly
- Support with conceptualising and further developing our social media strategy
- Maintain and further develop our different social media channels (facebook, instagram, linkedin, twitter & youtube): communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner etc.
- Production of videos, reels and instagram stories
- Create visuals to support social media and other forms of communication
- Develop and implement creative concepts depending on skills and interests

**Communications support (up to 20%)**
- Responsibility for picture and video production
- Support collaboratio helvetica’s storytelling approach by researching and producing stories for different communication channels
- Managing the merchandising material
- Preparing presentations for different audiences and channels
- Support the organisation’s social media activities
- Support on documentation of internal events like community events, catalyst lab, etc.

**Design and web appearance (up to 30%)**:
Our visual identity is part of our communication strategy. With a consistent and recognisable corporate design we support the messages and vision we want to spread. Your tasks:

- Updating English, German and French content
- Maintaining the website, including the upload of content
- Support with designing layouts for publications, such as dossiers, booklets and flyers
- Developing and implementing creative concepts, depending on skills and interests

**Your profile**

**You have**:

- A solid writing style in German, English and ideally also French. **Native proficiency in German language is required for this role.**:

- An openness to new topics and approaches, and quick comprehension skills
- An interest and aptitude for communications, engaging with our audience, and redacting
- Proficiency in social media platforms (e.g., Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) and their respective tools for effective online communication and engagement.
- Expertise in design software such as Photoshop and Canva.
- Ideally already experience with CRM tools (web design using Squarespace)
- Skills in writing target-group specific texts, using CMS and working with different social media channels.
- An interest in learning new skills in the areas of communication
- Interest in self-organisation (e.g. S3, Holacracy) and systems thinking (e.g. Theory U Otto Scharmer, Donella Meadows, Peter Senge)

**Working terms and conditions**
- Temporary employment for **at least 6 months** (80 - 100% - negotiable, depending on profile and skills) with possibility of joining the team at the end of the internship if qualified.
- **Start date is 1. September 2023** (or by agreement)
- The office of collaboratio helvetica is located in Bern (near the train station) where we meet every Tuesday (required), otherwise the workplace is flexible
- Professional and personal development are part of the internship, including learning experiences through practical work, feedback sessions, participation in collaboratio helvetica’s training opportunities, etc.
- Swiss citizenship or a valid work permit
- 2000 CHF salary at 100% (40 hours/week) and additional benefits (5 weeks of holiday per year)
