Mobile Phlebotomy Nurse

We are looking for a mobile Phlebotomy Nurse to join our team and work with our patients.

As a mobile phlebotomy nurse, your responsibilities will include performing venipuncture and writing reports to inform our doctors and other healthcare professionals to diagnose and treat patients. In this role, the person will be required to travel to various locations on a regular basis.

**Main Responsibilities**
- Meet each patient at the designated service location, home, or office at the scheduled appointment time, perform the specimen collection services, and arrange for accurate and timely delivery of the specimens.
- Performing the skin/vein puncture, withdrawing blood into containers or tubes
- Restoring homeostasis of the puncture site, instructing patients on post puncture care
- Accurately explaining the procedure to the patients and preparing patients accordingly
- Delivering specimens back to a laboratory in the specified manner (as requested by the hospital and laboratory procedures of the hospital or outpatient phlebotomy center)
- Complete duties at hospitals, clinics and other healthcare facilities
- Ensure that all equipment and medical supplies are kept sterile and well-organized
- Arrive in a timely manner to perform the required duties

**Requirements and Skills**
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing or equivalent
- Proven work experience as a mobile phlebotomy nurse or similar role
- Relevant licensure and certifications
- A completed apprenticeship or experience in a similar role
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to follow instructions while also working independently
- Excellent report writing skills and organisational skills
- Ability to regularly travel to various locations
- Hold a full driving license
- Available to start within a 2 week notice period preferred
