**EL HSE Audit Manager**:

The Electrification (EL) Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Audit Manager is responsible for the effective management of the EL HSE Audit Program. The main objectives of the program are: (1) to identify the level of compliance of the audited businesses with the ABB Way for Health, Safety, Environment & Security management system and thereby inform and provide independent assurance to management; and (2) to provide support to the audited businesses by identifying their strengths, weaknesses and priorities for improvement, providing expertise, advice and good practice and generally supporting their improvement activities during the audit process and, as appropriate, afterwards. The Audit Manager ensures that the audit program is seen by the audited businesses as a truly value-adding activity for them.

**This position reports to**:
Senior Lead HSE Auditor

**Your responsibilities**:

- Planning the annual EL HSE audit program in accordance with the relevant ABB standards.
- Personally planning and conducting 15-20 audits of EL businesses annually, principally in Europe, working with audited businesses to agree their actions to close out non-conformities.
- Managing the two EL Senior Lead Auditors who execute the audit program in their geographical areas (Americas and Asia Pacific). Ensuring that their audits are planned and conducted to the highest professional standards with appropriate, clear and precise findings and providing strong support to the audited businesses.
- Identifying, training, coaching and appointing colleagues from EL businesses who will support the team as occasional auditors. In particular, identifying and developing potential electrical safety auditors.
- Working with the ABB Electrical Safety Authorities as auditors supporting the program.
- Reporting on the progress of the annual program, main areas of findings, etc. Ensuring that this information is available to all EL Divisions to inform their improvement initiatives and planning processes.
- Continually seeking ways to improve the audit process, building strong working relationships with counterparts in the other Business Areas to ensure collaboration and alignment on issues of common interest.
- Representing EL on ABB’s Risk and Assurance Steering Committee. Providing feedback to the Committee on opportunities to improve the ABB Way for HSE&S management system.

**Your background**:

- At least 10 years of experience as an HSE professional, with strong experience of auditing in an industrial environment
- Experience of managing an audit program is an advantage
- and a high level of knowledge of electrical safety is an advantage
- The ability to manage complex issues and work in cross-functional teams
- A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
- A degree in an engineering or other relevant discipline is preferred
- Fluent English is required; other languages are an advantage
- Experience as a line manager in an industrial environment is an advantage
